Heather's Amazing Jump

Heather Sky DiveGo Heather! Heather achieved another of her lifetime ambitions on Wednesday. All day the weather was poor and it looked like once again Heather was going to be prevented from making her first ever solo skydive.

In the late afternoon the cloud finally raised enough for Heather to make her jump. Action stations and Heather was whisked to a height of 3500 FEET, in a single engine turbo prop powered light aircraft.

Focused on the job in hand, Heather had undertaken a day's training at Headcorn aerodrome and qualified for the jump with a full 30 out of 30 score..

With an excited scream OF JOY Heather made her Static line parachute jump. Fearless Heather has been looking forward to making this jump all summer and from what she tells us the experience was amazing, she has never felt so vitally alive in her life.

Heather MillsWearing a professional jump suit Heather was fully kitted out with a main chute and an emergency spare in her pre-packed unit. It turned out Heather was something of a natural, when Heather puts her mind to something she makes sure she does the best she possibly can. The instructors told her that her canopy deployment was superb and her landing first class. Go girl!

Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored Heather to make the jump, you have made the whole experience doubly worthwhile.

The New York Coalition for Healthy School Food (NYCHSF) will be benefiting from your generous donations and this was all the encouragement that Heather needed to make her jump.

The New York Coalition for Healthy School Food (NYCHSF) is a statewide non-profit that works to improve the health and well being of New York's students by advocating for healthy plant-based foods. It is Heather's strongest belief that the key ingredients to a healthy life is a healthy diet and she wishes to do everything in her power to ensure that schools offer healthy eating options for children.

What better way of expressing her belief in the power and vitality of plant based foods than by experiencing what it feels like to be truly alive!
