Heather Mills

has faced many challenges during her life, proving that adversity can be overcome. Her determination to make a difference and make a positive impact has given her the resolve to found multiple businesses, support charities, excel at top level sport and tell her story in the hope of inspiring others. Heather is a proud champion for the planet, the animals and the everyday extraordinary people. 

Heather’s influence has impacted many sectors such as:

  • Human Security – where she founded the ‘Adopt-a-Minefield’ charity in conjunction with the United Nations, clearing 21 million square metres of landmines, raising $18m in funds and assisting over 400,000 amputees; 
  • Plant Based Food – where Heather pioneered the creation of meat, fish and dairy free alternates in the 1990s and continues to own and operate one of the largest vegan food companies in Europe, VBites 
  • Animal Advocacy – Heather was instrumental in implementing legislation to ban the use of  dog and cat fur in Europe in 2009 and has also been at the forefront of many VIVA campaigns focused on improving animal welfare.
  • Disabled Sports – where Heather has set a Guinness World Record of 166.84kmph for downhill speed skiing and won x4 world championship gold medals to prove that disability does not prevent sporting achievement.  

Heather’s main mission in life has always been and continues to be positively impacting global communities – whether through the development of sustainable, plant based foods and other products, driving campaigns on behalf of the oppressed and/or disabled communities, or her numerous animal rights-focused initiatives and charitable endeavours.

Heather is most proud of her work in the charitable sector

Heather co-founded the largest landmine charity in the world, ‘Adopt A Minefield’, which was responsible for clearing 21 million square metres of landmines in war-torn areas across the globe.

Heather is also the originator and patron of many amputee clinics around the world, having raised hundreds of millions in the face of atrocities such as the Twin Tower attacks and the Gujarat earthquake in India, and was responsible for driving through the EU ban on Dog and Cat fur procurement.
